No. The entire installation of the gamut3 can be completed using only common hand tools. Please note that there are no permanent modifications to the erg and the erg can be restored to the original center pull configuration.

Installation of the gamut3 takes between 1 and 2 hours depending upon the experience of the person doing the installation.

Assembling the gamut3 on the erg is similar in complexity to assembling a bicycle. A tool list and instructional video are supplied with each machine. For those without tools, an assembly tool set can be supplied.

No. The gamut3 is a single sided machine, either port or starboard. To get both sides you need a port gamut3 and starboard gamut3.

Yes. Because some rowers or coaches may prefer to have the sweep motion but do not need the feathering oar, the economy version of the gamut3 is offered with a non-feathering oar. The economy version sells for less.

No. The erg with gamut3 attached is best stored flat. For storage, two ergs with gamut3 riggers can be stored nested together to save space. The gamut3 comes with 2 built in handles for convenient lifting.
